Overall Purpose of the Job
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and utilities, in compliance with the client’s EHS and Quality standards. You will provide MRO support to production and facility equipment as required while minimising all downtime events, Work to GDP & cGMP standards. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team while taking responsibility for your H&S, enabling the business to carry out their business activities in a safe comfortable, productive & cost-effective environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out fault finding and repairs on equipment during unplanned downtime events, contact and coordinate service engineers where external assistance is required
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control as per the Plant CMMS while upholding compliance to the clients GDP standards
- Proactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues, to maximise equipment uptime
- Maintain and maximize use of client CMMS system and ensure all works are completed and closed within the agreed timeframe
- Assist subcontractors as required
- Maintain appropriate records in line with requirements
- To keep all business unit leads informed and updated at all times in relation to equipment issues
- Liaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems
- Assist with the drive for 'Cost Reduction Initiatives' across the site from providing ideas through to implementation. This should also include Energy Saving Opportunities (ESOs).
Experience
- Successful Time served apprenticeship completed (MAMF, Electrical, Fridge or toolmaking).
- Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Must be proficient in reading technical, wiring diagrams and pneumatic schematics.
- Skilled and experience at mechanical repairs.
