    At Apleona we are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals We are currently looking for an Electrical Lead to join our team at our site in Carrigtwohill,Co Cork

     

    Shift Pattern Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 Friday 08:00 - 15:30

     

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of all facilities.
    • Ensure all utilities (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are operating efficiently.
    • Monitor and maintain building systems, including fire alarm, lighting, and security systems.
    • Ensure compliance with building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Coordinate with contractors for repairs, maintenance, and construction projects.
    • Manage relationships and performance of third-party service providers.
    • Schedule and oversee routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
    • Perform regular inspections to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards.
    • Oversee the management of facilities inventory and assets.
    • Implement systems to track and manage facilities requests and concerns.
    • Develop and implement emergency procedures and safety protocols.
    • Oversee building inspections and audits for compliance with safety standards.
    • Monitor and manage energy consumption and waste disposal efforts.
    • Implement green initiatives such as energy-saving programs and recycling policies.
    • Analyse and report on facility energy usage and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
    • Develop and manage the annual facilities budget..
    • Prepare reports on financial performance, facility conditions, and capital projects.
    • Manage and supervise in-house maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Develop and implement team schedules and workflows.
    • The role typically requires regular office hours but may involve occasional overtime, weekend work, or emergency callouts.
    • Travel may be required if overseeing multiple facilities.

     

    Qualifications and experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with budget management and cost control.
    • Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and external vendors.
