Senior EHS Specialist
Location – Wirral, CH46 1QW
Hours - Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm
Apleona UK is seeking a dynamic Senior EHS Specialist to join our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team to drive our commitment to environmental, health and safety excellence. This pivotal role ensures compliance and promotes a culture of safety across our operations and our life science client operations in the Wirral.
The Senior EHS Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including our Technical Hard Services Team and our contractors, our Soft Service Team, our life science client facilities team and client EHS team to implement and support impactful EHS programs.

As the champion for EHS initiatives, the Specialist will support our IFM team, our large range of contractors and our client to achieve a zero-accident culture and carry out work to maintain our exemplary EHS record. What do you need?
- Experience working in a Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical or a Regulated Compliant Environment.
- Working with Quality Management System requirements.
- Knowledge/Experience of Occupational Hygiene EHS preferably in a Lab I GxP Pharmaceutical Environment.
- Level 3 or above Health and Safety practitioner (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
- A foundation level or above Environment qualification
- Experience of working in cGMP & cGDP environments
- Knowledge of Facilities Management - soft and hard services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible approach to working hours to ensure our client receives the best service all the time
- Auditing experience
- Experience of dealing with site waste (general & Hazardous), documentation and compliance
