    We are looking for a dedicated EHS Specialist to join our facilities management team to help us maintain our commitment and our client’s commitment to environmental health and safety.

    Position Overview:

    As the EHS Specialist you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective environmental, health, and safety programs for our site-based team and our contractors at our client facility. You will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with local regulations and client-specific requirements to promote a culture of safety and improve overall workplace safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. 
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
    • Provide training and support to employees on safety topics, emergency procedures, and best practices. 
    • Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate risks related to operations and facility management. 
    • Monitor compliance with local regulations and industry standards. 
    • Respond to and investigate safety incidents, providing thorough reports and recommendations for improvement. 
    • Analyse data to track EHS performance metrics and develop actionable strategies for continuous improvement. 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS-related inquiries and concerns within the organization.
    • Implement programs to ensure contractors carry out work in accordance with legal and client requirements, including permits, risk assessments and method statements

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within facilities management or the software industry. 
    • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
    • Professional certification is a plus.
