We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong engineering background to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Location: Shannon, Co. Clare
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To work as part of a team, and on an individual basis on own initiative, reporting directly to the Account Manager;
• To organise and control Pre planned and reactive maintenance work in all areas of the site on a wide range of Building Services systems and equipment used to support the scientific work carried out;
• To consult and work with the site Health & safety and Bio safety officers to ensure that all work is carried out safely and that all aspects of operator and contractor training are maintained and recorded;
• To co-ordinate and supervise In House and on site contractor activities, including Risk assessments, Method statements and issue/closure of Permits to work;
• To implement and adhere to a Quality system for the management of procedures and site documentation
• To liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant / area without disruption to the client.
• To conduct the operation of the contract in a pro-active manner so as to minimize difficulties with the building environmental systems.
• To manage the day to day engineering maintenance across the site using in House staff and contractors.
• To liaise with the Client, particularly in relation to the planning and organisation of works that may affect the normal business activities of the site.
• To identify and specify remedial/works for costing • To obtain Quotations / tenders for the remedial and project works.
• To maintain a comprehensive record of maintenance activities, particularly in respect of annual validation and certification of laboratory fixed equipment and systems.
• Must have a proven track record in the overseeing of maintenance of detailed mechanical and electrical building services with particular emphasis on ventilation systems
• Experience in the implementation of a Quality system for the management of procedures and documentation
• Must hold a recognisable engineering qualification or be able to demonstrate significant experience
• Experienced in the application and operation of Permit to Work systems. Computer literate, conversant with the major software packages, word processing, spreadsheets etc.
• Experience of working in a similar environment where reliance is placed upon individuals carrying responsibility for their actions
• Previous experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Laboratory environment
• AutoCAD knowledge and experience
• Experienced in the use of Computerised Maintenance management systems.
